First Net Session

The `Falcon` was on hand Sunday morning to witness our first net session for Season 09/10 and was impressed with what he saw.
A fine day was turned on Sunday. The usual culprits were there and as heard first hear from `The Falcon` Shaggy Jackson was out and will feature this season, he`s made his millions in Darwin and now wants some cricketing satisfaction as we all do. Will `MAD` Roberts has grown enough to hand feed `The Falcon` in my perch and is looking dangerous, Kyle has been talking to Roey as he found a way to avoid the running drills( has a little injury) and no future Maradonna`s were injured as we mainly kept the ball in the nets as we were near by the junior soccer matches. Tripper did put them in danger by bowling Roey but Ro`s kids were on hand and he kept his cool for the next ball. ( don’t get used to that people!) Jonty seems to be handling the departure of Nicko okay although a funny incident involving being put up against a wall by a lady who looked like Ellen Degeneres at the local gambling establishment has stung him into action (I am just relaying the story Jonts, don’t shoot the messenger).
`Killa` Kilpatrick looks like he`s been having a bit of practise looked very solid, straight bat already just got to watch that calf muscle, Nashy scraped himself off a 21st party floor to be on time and swinging his two piecer all over the place. President Polly Roberts was rolling the arm over, he managed to hold up a local netball game recently, you may have to ask him the reasons for that ! It isn’t a hard thing to do as I can recall a game being put on a hold because a lady missed a stitch whilst knitting.
Coach Rawlings seemed content which is always a positive sign, but be aware he will have some torture test for us in the coming weeks. We will be hoping for even more out over the coming weeks, some of us have football commitments, Moose is starring for Smosh West Lakes a club which is fast becoming a sister city club to us as one in two of us either went to St Micks, played at Smosh or have children attending the school.
The Wednesday beach sessions are on so good luck this week with the current weather, but all this effort does pay off in the long run.
Be sure to head out next Sunday, other clubs are training too and we need to be on the front foot. The coach is making a note of who is rocking up and as a rule our trainings are a bit a fun and a good way to ease ourselves into the coming season which `The Falcon` like the rest of us hopes is a successful one for all grades.
